Egg Free Chocolate Chip Cookies

350g Plain Flour
250g Chocolate Chips
150g Butter (Hard, Cubed)
100g Caster Sugar
6-8 Tbsp Golden Syrup
1 ½ Tsp Baking Powder
½ Tsp Bicarbonate of Soda
Pinch of Salt


  • Preheat your oven to 190° Celsius
  • Sift the flour, bicarbonate of soda, baking powder and salt into a bowl
  • Rub in the butter until you get a breadcrumb-like consistency
  • Mix in the sugar and chocolate chips
  • Gradually add the golden syrup until a dough forms
  • Roll the dough into small balls in your hand and place on a baking tray
  • Bake for 8-10 minutes or until golden
